In traditional Sardinia popular songs the word 'boghe' in the singular form doesn't only mean voice, but means most of all 'load-bearing melody', a tuneful outline that is the bases of the melody and it guides the other voices in the choir.

Boghes (voices) in the plural form are those songs that you don't only hear with the ears but with the heart, because they are inseparable from the magical moments of their performance and of the customs involved.
